October 21, 2014 2 min read

Raw Nova is a new concept store full of all things edgy, stylish and fresh. It is the brainchild of aunt – niece duo, creative powerhouse Allie and Gail Rees. The store is a bright and wondrous showcase of their favourite designers, clothing ranges and carefully selected lifestyle and home products. They represent over 30 brands which includes Stolen Girlfriends Club, Ksubi, PIA boutique, Maurie & Eve, Style stalker, Friend of mine, Finders Keepers, Evie Kemp, D.L & Co and of course SABEN!!! 10151947_755757614485249_9096903973222231348_n The store style has an effortless confidence, exuded by both the ladies. Their edit resonates with what they love and would wear themselves. We steal five minutes of their time to talk shop and style.
If we had a sneak peak in your hand bag what would we find?
Allie: Lime crime Lipstick, Sunday Somewhere sunnies, iphone, drink bottle, snacks; almonds, gym gear, and my hair brush
Gail: Oh god, what wouldn’t you find? And of course – my dog Lulu!
The Sabenettes rely on our Nespresso coffee to get us ready for the day, what helps you get out of bed in the mornings?
Allie: Banana on toast
Gail: Nespresso coffee
You’re top 3 items in your store right now?
Allie: Brixton Hats, Senso shoes and Hanging Egg Chair.
Gail: Sabenette Scout collection (obviously) Evie Kemp prints and Shooting Sparrow home wares
Trends you love right now?
Allie: I love pairing bold prints with bright colours. In clothes I cant get enough of the fine pin stripe and I am obsessed with hydes – the fluffier the better!
Gail: Pops of colour, the quirkier the better! In both my ward robe but mostly in homeware
What’s the one item you can’t leave the house without?
Allie: my hat
Gail: Lulu
What do you think makes your store standout?
It is a fun edit of fashion and homewares, a concept store full of things that are edgy and fresh. We don’t take ourselves or the shop too seriously, we like to have fun with our style and hope our customer will too. We carefully choose the products with our customers lifestyle and budgets in mind. There is something to covet, and something super affordable, somethings to spoil yourself anod others peferct to give to a friend, there is something here for everyone – each piece has an effortless confidence.
