Behind the scenes, the Saben team have been working to minimise and eliminate plastic from our supply chain wherever possible. We are excited to share our progress, while we continue to make improvements where possible.

FSC Certified Paper

All swing tags, wallet and shoe boxes, gift cards, receipt folders and carry bags are made from FSC (Forest Steward Council) certified responsibly sourced paper, which can be recycled (no sneaky plastic coatings!).

The black handles on our carry bags may look like ribbon but are actually woven paper! Take a closer look next time you're in store.

Lucky Thing Dust Cover

We've carefully designed this iconic dust cover bag with re-use and recycling in mind. Use it to protect your Saben while in your wardrobe, or store items around the home.

When it's time to retire your dust bag, it can be recycled with no. [7] recycling (just like your re-useable supermarket shopping bag).

Natural Clay Sachets

You may have noticed a couple of these clay sachets inside your Saben.

We use a plastic-free desiccant made from natural bentonite clay that is packaged in biodegradable FSC-certified Kraft paper.

These help to protect our products from mold and moisture damage on their journey from maker to you.

We are so excited to have found a natural, plastic free and biodegradable alternative to silica packets.

Each piece is packaged in a corn-starch, home compostable bag, recyclable cardboard, and includes a biodegradable clay moisture sachet to protect the piece on its journey from our makers to our boutiques.

Our online orders to customers and our retail partners are dispatched in home compostable mailers or recyclable cardboard.

We're still a work in progress

While we continue to research, test, and find solutions towards our goal of eliminating plastic from our supply chain, we recognise we're not their yet.

We will always be learning and committed to making our product with integrity and continue to make changes wherever we can. We know sustainability is a journey, we will never finish.
